As the only registered product in the pyrroles chemistry class, Pylon provides a unique mode of action that disrupts pest energy production, leading to rapid mortality and long-lasting residual control. Designed specifically for commercial greenhouse production, Pylon delivers exceptional control of mites, thrips, caterpillars, fungus gnats, and foliar nematodes on ornamental crops and greenhouse fruiting vegetables. Its translaminar movement allows the active ingredient to penetrate leaf tissue for improved coverage and residual activity, helping control pests hidden on undersides of leaves and within dense canopies. Pylon provides effective contact and ingestion activity with mortality of most target pests occurring within 72 hours. Depending on pest pressure and environmental conditions, applications may provide 14 to 21 days of residual control.

Use Sites

Commercial greenhouses, ornamental crop production, greenhouse vegetables, bedding plants, flowering crops, foliage plants, potted ornamentals, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, tomatillo, okra, and other labeled greenhouse fruiting vegetables.

Target Pests

Spider mites, two-spotted spider mites, broad mites, cyclamen mites, rust mites, chilli thrips, Western flower thrips, caterpillars, armyworms, hornworms, cabbage loopers, fungus gnats, and foliar nematodes.

Application Notes

Apply with sufficient spray volume for complete foliar coverage. Pylon is not ovicidal and should be rotated with ovicidal products when egg populations are present. Do not make more than three applications per crop cycle. For resistance management, avoid more than two consecutive applications before rotating to another mode of action.
