Mural Fungicide is a professional broad-spectrum ornamental fungicide combining 30% azoxystrobin with 15% benzovindiflupyr, Syngenta's SOLATENOL® technology. This dual-active FRAC Group 11 + 7 formulation provides preventive, systemic, and curative activity against a wide range of foliar, stem, crown, and root diseases in greenhouse, nursery, landscape, and ornamental production programs.

Mural provides both systemic and translaminar movement for dependable plant protection. Foliar applications move through plant tissue to help protect difficult-to-reach areas such as leaf undersides, while drench treatments move upward through the roots and into foliage and new growth. Mural may be used throughout ornamental production from propagation through shipping and offers flexible spray, directed-spray, and drench application options.

Labeled Use Sites

Mural is labeled for ornamental crops grown in greenhouses, shade houses, lath houses, outdoor nurseries, retail nurseries, commercial landscapes, and for selected vegetable plants grown for resale to consumers. Ornamentals may be grown in containers, benches, flats, plugs, liners, beds, or field production. Mural may also be used on commercial landscape ornamentals according to label directions.

Target Diseases

Mural controls numerous labeled diseases including Phomopsis blight, tip blight, needlecast diseases, Alternaria leaf spot, anthracnose, Cylindrocladium leaf spot and stem canker, downy mildew, Entomosporium leaf spot, Cercospora leaf spot, rose black spot, Myrothecium leaf spot, scab, powdery mildew, rusts, Botrytis blight, blossom blight, aerial and shoot blights, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotium rolfsii, Fusarium, and Sclerotinia. Drench programs also suppress Pythium, soilborne Phytophthora, powdery mildew, and rusts where labeled.

Application Notes

For foliar disease management on ornamentals, Mural is generally applied at 4 to 7 oz per 100 gallons of water on 7- to 21-day intervals depending on disease and pressure. Directed sprays for soilborne diseases generally use 5 to 7 oz per 100 gallons. Drench applications typically use 2 to 3 oz per 100 gallons and are applied preventively to the root zone, root ball, crown, or other pre-infection areas.

Apply Mural preventively whenever possible. Do not make more than two sequential applications in many foliar programs before rotating to another effective mode of action, and do not make more than three sequential drench applications before rotating. An ornamental-approved adjuvant may improve coverage on difficult-to-wet foliage, but silicone-containing products and high rates of oil-based adjuvants may cause phytotoxicity. Always test unfamiliar combinations on a small group of plants before broad use.
