Midash Forte Insecticide
Midash Forte Insecticide is a systemic agricultural insecticide powered by imidacloprid for long-lasting control of listed sucking and yield-robbing pests in labeled field, vegetable, small fruit, tree fruit, tropical fruit, vine, greenhouse vegetable, and other agricultural crops. As a Group 4A neonicotinoid insecticide, Midash Forte provides systemic activity for managing pests such as aphids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, psyllids, flea beetles, cucumber beetles, Colorado potato beetles, mealybugs, scales, and other labeled insects.
When applied to the soil, Midash Forte moves from the root zone through the xylem into vegetative plant tissues, providing extended residual activity and early protection as the crop develops. Midash Forte may also be applied as a directed or broadcast foliar spray in labeled crops, giving growers flexible options for both soil-applied systemic control and foliar insect management programs.
Features & Benefits
✓ Systemic imidacloprid insecticide provides long-lasting control of many labeled sucking insects
✓ Group 4A neonicotinoid mode of action fits resistance-management programs when rotated properly
✓ Controls key pests such as aphids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, psyllids, flea beetles, cucumber beetles, and Colorado potato beetles
✓ Soil applications move active ingredient from the root zone into vegetative plant tissues for extended residual activity
✓ Foliar applications may be used in labeled crops for directed or broadcast pest control when populations begin to build
✓ Labeled for a wide range of agricultural crops, including cotton, potatoes, soybeans, tobacco, cucurbits, fruiting vegetables, leafy vegetables, herbs, berries, citrus, grapes, tree nuts, and tropical fruit
✓ Contains 4 pounds of imidacloprid per gallon in a concentrated liquid formulation
Labeled Use Sites
Midash Forte is labeled for use in multiple agricultural crop groups and production systems, including cotton, potatoes, soybeans, tobacco, cucurbit vegetables, greenhouse vegetables, fruiting vegetables, herbs, brassica leafy vegetables, leafy vegetables, leafy petiole vegetables, legume vegetables, tuberous and corm vegetables, strawberries, sugarbeets, bushberries, caneberries, citrus, coffee, cranberries, grapes, tree nuts, tropical fruit, and other labeled crops.
Target Pests
Midash Forte is labeled for control or suppression of many pests, including aphids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, psyllids, flea beetles, cucumber beetles, Colorado potato beetles, bean leaf beetles, Japanese beetles, plant bugs, stink bugs, thrips, mealybugs, scales, spittlebugs, leafminers, blueberry maggot, pepper weevil, root grubs, rootworms, wireworms, mole crickets, cutworms, blackfly, Asian citrus psyllid, phylloxera, rednecked cane borer, avocado lacebug, and other labeled pests.
Application Notes
Apply Midash Forte according to the crop-specific directions on the product label. Soil applications must be directed into the seed or root zone for best performance; failure to place the product into the root zone may result in delayed activity or reduced control. Midash Forte may be applied with ground equipment or through chemigation equipment where allowed by the crop-specific label directions.
Foliar applications must be applied as a directed or broadcast foliar spray with thorough, uniform coverage. A spray adjuvant may be used to improve coverage where allowed. Midash Forte may not provide rapid knockdown of established, heavy insect populations, and two applications or a tank mix with another labeled insecticide may be needed for improved knockdown or broader control.
Because Midash Forte contains a Group 4A neonicotinoid insecticide, do not rely on repeated Group 4A applications as the primary control method. Use a block rotation or windowed approach with effective products from different modes of action to support resistance management. Follow all pollinator-protection restrictions on the label, including crop-specific bloom and bee-foraging restrictions.
