Spree Insecticide

Spree Insecticide is a systemic, broad-spectrum insecticide powered by spirotetramat for control of listed pests in labeled field, tree, tropical fruit, vine, and vegetable crops. As a Group 23 insecticide, Spree provides a unique mode of action that is especially valuable in integrated pest management and resistance-management programs.

Spree offers two-way movement within treated plants, moving upward and downward through plant tissue to help control hidden and hard-to-reach pests. This movement helps protect new and developing leaves, including foliage that may not be fully present at the time of application. Spree is the generic equivalent of Movento Insecticide.

Controls many labeled sucking pests, including aphids, psyllids, whiteflies, scales, mealybugs, and selected mites

Effective against immature target pest life stages when used according to label directions

Long-lasting protection and residual activity on labeled crops

Important fit for integrated pest management programs when used as directed

Helps reach pests hidden in dense crop canopies, new shoots, and developing plant tissue

Labeled Use Sites

Spree is labeled for agricultural use on certain field, tree, tropical fruit, vine, and vegetable crops. Labeled crops include banana and plantain, brassica leafy vegetables, bulb vegetables, bushberry and low-growing berry crops, carrot, Christmas tree plantations, citrus fruits, coffee, fruiting vegetables, globe artichoke, hops, leafy vegetables, legume vegetables, pineapple, pome fruits, pomegranate, potatoes and other tuberous and corm vegetables, and other labeled crops.

Target Pests

Spree is labeled for control or suppression of many pests, including aphids, psyllids, whiteflies, scales, mealybugs, thrips larvae, leafminers, nematodes, diamondback moth, onion thrips larvae, blueberry gall midge, cranberry tipworm, blueberry maggot, leafhoppers, Asian citrus psyllid, California red scale, citricola scale, citrus leafminer, citrus bud mite, citrus red mite, citrus rust mite, citrus snow scale, citrus thrips, Florida red scale, purple scale, Texas citrus mite, woolly apple aphid, apple rust mite, San Jose scale, apple gall midge, codling moth, European red mite, pear psylla, pear leaf midge, twospotted spider mite, western flower thrips larvae, hop aphid, tomato russet mite, broad mite, and other labeled pests.

Application Notes

Apply Spree according to the crop-specific directions on the product label. Foliar spray applications should be made using properly calibrated ground, aerial, or chemigation equipment where allowed by the crop section. Thorough coverage is important for optimum control, especially in dense crop canopies and where target pests are hidden or protected.

Spree must be tank mixed with a spray adjuvant or additive that has spreading and penetrating properties to maximize leaf uptake and movement of the active ingredient into plant tissue. Do not use binder or sticker-type adjuvants unless specifically recommended. Avoid conditions that may reduce uptake, such as extended cool temperatures, drought stress, or plants that are not actively growing.
