Termidor HE High-Efficiency Termiticide
Termidor HE High-Efficiency Termiticide is a professional structural termiticide containing 8.73% fipronil for prevention and control of subterranean, arboreal, drywood, and dampwood termites. Its high-efficiency formulation combines proven Termidor performance with reduced treatment volume and shallower application depths to help licensed pest-management professionals complete termite treatments with less water, drilling, trenching, and labor.
Termidor HE is a non-repellent Group 2B termiticide featuring BASF's Genuine Transfer Effect™ technology. Exposed termites do not detect the treated area and can transfer the active ingredient to other termites through normal social interaction. BASF states that this transfer process results in 100% termite control within three months or less while the HE application system can reduce treatment time by 50% or more compared with conventional termiticide applications.

Labeled Use Sites
Termidor HE is labeled for professional termite prevention and control in and around structures using approved pre-construction and post-construction treatment methods. Labeled applications include horizontal and vertical soil treatments, exterior foundation perimeters, concrete slabs, basements, accessible and inaccessible crawl spaces, hollow-block foundations and masonry voids, garages, localized interior termite-treatment areas, posts and poles, wood landscape ornamentation, and specific above-ground termite treatments. Termidor HE is a termiticide only and is not labeled for general pest-control applications.
Target Pests
Termidor HE controls labeled subterranean, arboreal, drywood, and dampwood termites, including termite species within the genera Reticulitermes, Coptotermes, Heterotermes, Nasutitermes, and Zootermopsis. Applications may be used for termite prevention as well as treatment of existing termite infestations according to the specific structural use directions on the label.
Application Notes
Termidor HE is a professional-use termiticide and may only be applied by individuals or firms licensed or registered by the state to apply termiticide products. The product is mixed with water to prepare labeled finished dilutions. Horizontal pre-construction and certain horizontal post-construction treatments may use a 0.06% or 0.125% finished dilution, while pre-construction vertical and most post-construction treatments require a 0.125% finished dilution.
Application methods include trenching, rodding, short-rodding, sub-slab injection, low-pressure banded surface application, localized interior treatment, and supplemental foam delivery where permitted. Rates, treatment depths, volumes, drill spacing, and construction-specific procedures vary by treatment type. Annual retreatment is prohibited unless there is clear evidence of reinfestation, disruption of the treated zone, or breakdown of the termiticide-treated zone.
