Fungus Gnats can cause stippling, yellowing, distorted growth, leaf drop, honeydew, sooty mold, or reduced plant vigor. Populations often build on tender growth and sheltered leaf surfaces.
Identify the Source
Inspect leaf undersides, growing points, stems, and roots where applicable. Check several plants and life stages before choosing a treatment.
Reduce the Conditions Supporting the Pest
Avoid excessive succulent growth, manage plant stress, remove heavily infested material when practical, and conserve beneficial insects. Recheck plants after treatment for newly hatched or concealed stages.
Choose the Right Control Product
Compare contact, systemic, translaminar, biological, and growth-regulating products by crop or ornamental use site, life stage, and pollinator restrictions. Rotate modes of action when repeated applications are needed.
Confirm the target pest, use site, application method, and state restrictions on the current product label before use.
