Quintessential Herbicide with H Value Technology
Quintessential is an advanced selective postemergence turf herbicide containing 18.92% quinclorac for control of crabgrass and other labeled grassy and broadleaf weeds. Powered by proprietary H Value Technology, Quintessential is formulated to increase quinclorac absorption into susceptible weeds, helping deliver faster activity and improved performance compared with conventional quinclorac formulations.
Designed for professional turf management, Quintessential provides exceptional crabgrass performance across a wide range of growth stages, including improved performance on difficult mid-tiller crabgrass. Its systemic Group 4 auxin-mimic chemistry is absorbed through both foliage and roots and translocated throughout susceptible plants for control in residential lawns, golf courses, sod farms, athletic fields, parks, institutional turf, and other labeled sites.
Features & Benefits

Labeled Use Sites
Quintessential is labeled for postemergence weed control in turfgrass around residential and commercial establishments, multi-family dwellings, military and other institutions, parks, airports, roadsides, schools, picnic grounds, athletic fields, houses of worship, cemeteries, golf courses, and sod farms.
Do not apply to golf course greens or collars, ornamental beds, exposed feeder roots of trees or ornamentals, or directly to desirable flowers, vegetables, shrubs, trees, and other sensitive plants. In New York, Quintessential may be used only as a spot treatment.
Target Weeds
Grassy Weeds: barnyardgrass, large crabgrass, smooth crabgrass, giant foxtail, green foxtail, yellow foxtail, kikuyugrass, broadleaf signalgrass, and torpedograss.
Broadleaf Weeds: field bindweed, hop clover, red clover, white clover, English daisy, common dandelion, dollarweed, Carolina geranium, black medic, morningglory species, common speedwell, slender speedwell, thymeleaf speedwell, and wild violet.
English daisy and common dandelion require a labeled tank-mix partner or sequential treatment. Kikuyugrass and torpedograss require sequential applications as directed by the label. Crabgrass in the 2- to 4-tiller range may require a sequential application under certain conditions; the most consistent control is achieved when treating newly germinated to 1-tiller crabgrass or mature crabgrass at 5 tillers or greater.
Application Notes
For most broadcast turf applications, apply 48 to 64 fl oz of Quintessential per acre, equivalent to approximately 1.10 to 1.45 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. Use methylated seed oil at 1.5 pints per acre, equivalent to approximately 0.55 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. Spot applications use the same 1.10 to 1.45 fl oz of Quintessential per 1,000 sq ft of treated area with the appropriate MSO rate.
Apply to actively growing weeds using at least 10 gallons of water per acre or 0.25 gallon per 1,000 sq ft at 20 to 40 psi. Do not mow for two days before or after treatment. For best results, do not irrigate for 24 hours after application; if rainfall does not occur within 2 to 7 days, approximately 1/2 inch of irrigation is desirable. Do not apply to drought-stressed turfgrass or drought-stressed weeds. Do not use an adjuvant when Quintessential is tank mixed with an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) product because turf phytotoxicity may occur.
