Turf Fungicides

Professional turf fungicides protect golf, sports, commercial, and residential turf from foliar, crown, and root diseases. The best choice depends on a correct diagnosis, the turf species, the treatment site, and whether the application is preventive or made at the first sign of disease.

Choose the Right Product

Start with the disease collection that matches the diagnosis. Compare active ingredients and FRAC groups, then confirm the label includes the turf species and use site. Foliar diseases generally require uniform canopy coverage; crown and root diseases often require irrigation after application to move the active ingredient to the infection zone.

Build a Better Program

Base timing on disease risk rather than a fixed calendar whenever possible. Reduce leaf wetness, correct drainage and irrigation problems, manage fertility and mowing stress, and rotate modes of action. A fungicide program works best as one part of an integrated disease-management plan.

What University Guidance Says

NC State's 2026 guidance emphasizes that labels establish legal uses but do not guarantee field performance. It identifies diagnosis, deposition, disease pressure, product depletion, and resistance as major performance factors, and notes that preventive applications are generally more dependable than curative rescue treatments.
