Akola Insecticide/Miticide
Akola Insecticide/Miticide is a professional contact miticide and insecticide containing 5.0% fenpyroximate for control of mites and selected insect pests in a wide range of labeled agricultural crops and ornamental plants. Akola is a generic equivalent to Fujimite and provides IRAC Group 21A chemistry for management of spider mites, rust mites, broad mites, psyllids, leafhoppers, mealybugs, whiteflies, and other labeled pests.
Fenpyroximate inhibits cellular respiration in the mitochondria of target pests, causing mite feeding to stop immediately after application and disrupting essential biological activity. Akola controls all motile mite stages primarily through contact activity, with mite mortality generally observed within 3 to 7 days, making thorough and uniform spray coverage essential for optimum performance.
Features & Benefits
✓ Professional 5% fenpyroximate miticide and insecticide for broad-spectrum mite and selected insect control
✓ Stops mite feeding immediately after application by disrupting mitochondrial cellular respiration
✓ Controls all motile mite stages with mortality generally visible within 3 to 7 days after intoxication
✓ Controls numerous labeled spider mites, rust mites, broad mites, leafhoppers, mealybugs, psyllids, and related pests
✓ IRAC Group 21A chemistry provides a distinct mode of action for resistance-management rotations
✓ Labeled across numerous fruit, nut, vegetable, berry, field crop, vine, and other professional production systems
✓ Generic equivalent to Fujimite with the same fenpyroximate active ingredient category for professional pest-management programs
Labeled Use Sites

Certain pests are suppression-only, and some uses are not registered in California.
Application Notes
Apply Akola as a foliar spray using sufficient water to obtain thorough and uniform coverage because the product works primarily by contact. Apply when pest populations are beginning to build, preferably while pests are immature or at susceptible stages and before economic damage occurs. Application rates vary by crop and pest, generally ranging from 0.4 to 4.0 pt per acre. Ground, aerial, and limited chemigation applications are permitted only where specifically directed on the label.
Do not use Group 21A products in consecutive applications. Maintain the crop-specific retreatment interval, annual maximum, application method, and preharvest interval shown on the label. Do not apply within 75 ft of fish-bearing waters and do not use in greenhouse structures. Where coverage is a concern, the label permits compatible nonionic surfactants, crop oil concentrates, methylated seed oils, organosilicone adjuvants, or horticultural spray oils meeting the specified composition requirements. Always read and follow the complete product label.
