Anuew EZ Plant Growth Regulator is a professional liquid turf PGR containing 10% prohexadione calcium for reducing vertical growth, mowing frequency, and clipping production while improving turf density, color, quality, and playing conditions. Its late-stage gibberellin inhibition provides effective growth regulation across both cool- and warm-season turfgrass.

Anuew EZ is designed for golf greens, tees, fairways, roughs, residential and commercial lawns, sports fields, sod farms, cemeteries, and municipal turf. Nufarm positions Anuew EZ as particularly effective for managing Poa in mixed stands, suppressing Poa and zoysiagrass seedheads, regulating bermudagrass off-types in ultradwarf greens, and maintaining more consistent turf growth through calendar- or Growing Degree Day-based programs.

Labeled Use Sites

Anuew EZ is labeled for golf-course greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and higher-cut turf; residential and commercial lawns; sports fields; sod farms; cemeteries; municipal sites; parks; and other managed turf areas. Labeled warm-season grasses include common and hybrid bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, St. Augustinegrass, paspalum, and kikuyugrass. Cool-season turf includes bentgrass, Poa annua, Poa trivialis, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, tall fescue, and fine fescue.

Turfgrass Uses & Performance

Anuew EZ works through foliar uptake by inhibiting late-stage gibberellin biosynthesis, which reduces cell elongation and slows vertical turf growth. The label states that clipping reduction may begin within 2 to 5 days depending on turf species. Treated turf grows in a more compact form and often develops improved color and quality. Nufarm also supports Anuew EZ for more even green speeds, Poa suppression, seedhead management, rough and bunker-face regulation, and improved spring transition from overseeding by favoring bermudagrass growth.

Application Notes

Apply Anuew EZ when turf is green, healthy, and actively growing. Application rates vary substantially by turf species and mowing height. Outside California, warm-season fairways and higher-cut turf generally use 18 to 54 fl oz per acre, while bermudagrass greens and tees generally use 18 to 36 fl oz per acre. Cool-season rates range from approximately 2.2 to 36 fl oz per acre depending on species and management area.

Applications may be scheduled at approximately 1- to 4-week intervals or by Growing Degree Day modeling. The label provides species-specific GDD targets, including approximately 250–280 GDD for annual bluegrass greens, 260–280 for bentgrass greens, 350–380 for bentgrass fairways, 125 for bermudagrass greens, and 180–225 for bermudagrass fairways. Apply in enough water for complete foliar wetting; 1 to 2 gallons per 1,000 sq ft is advised for best results. Do not irrigate for 4 hours after application.
