Banner Maxx II Fungicide
Banner Maxx II Fungicide is a professional broad-spectrum systemic fungicide containing 14.3% propiconazole for preventive control of numerous diseases in turfgrass, dichondra, ornamentals, landscape plantings, and nursery crops. Its FRAC Group 3 DMI mode of action inhibits fungal sterol biosynthesis, disrupting cell-membrane development and helping protect susceptible plants from established disease threats.
Banner Maxx II controls important turf diseases including dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose, gray leaf spot, summer patch, spring dead spot, rust, powdery mildew, snow mold, and other labeled diseases. On ornamentals, it controls specified powdery mildews, rusts, leaf spots, scabs, flower blights, conifer blights, and related diseases when applied according to the crop-specific label directions.

Labeled Use Sites
Banner Maxx II is labeled for turfgrass, golf course turf, dichondra, and field- and container-grown ornamental plants in nurseries, lath houses, shade houses, and landscape plantings. The ornamental label includes specified herbaceous ornamentals, woody ornamentals, conifers, roses for outdoor use, and selected nonbearing fruit and nut trees in nurseries and landscapes.
Banner Maxx II is not labeled for greenhouse use. Do not apply it through an irrigation system or use it as a tree injection.
Target Diseases
Labeled turf diseases include anthracnose, brown patch, dollar spot, Fusarium patch, gray leaf spot, melting out, leaf spot, necrotic ring spot, powdery mildew, rust, red thread, pink patch, gray and pink snow mold, spring dead spot, stripe smut, summer patch, Poa patch, take-all patch, yellow patch, and zoysia patch. The label also includes dichondra rust.
Labeled ornamental diseases include specified Phomopsis, Sirococcus, and Diplodia conifer blights; ray, Monilinia, and Ovulinia flower blights; Alternaria, Cercospora, Cladosporium, Colletotrichum, Septoria, Venturia, and other leaf spots and blights; black spot; scab; anthracnose; powdery mildews; and rusts. Disease eligibility depends on the ornamental plant species listed on the label.
Application Notes
Use Banner Maxx II as part of a preventive disease-control program. Turfgrass rates range from 0.5 to 4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft, depending on the disease, disease pressure, application interval, and tank-mix requirements. Apply in sufficient water for thorough coverage. Allow applications targeting foliar diseases to dry before irrigation; treatments for soilborne diseases may be watered in after application.
Do not apply more than 16 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft to turf during a calendar year. Bermudagrass may be sensitive: do not exceed 4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft every 30 days. In Florida, do not apply to bermudagrass golf course greens when temperatures exceed 90°F.
Ornamental rates range from 2 to 24 fl oz per 100 gallons of water according to the plant and disease tables. For general landscape disease control, apply 6 to 8 fl oz per 100 gallons every 21 days, beginning before disease development. Apply ornamental treatments as full-coverage sprays where directed and allow the spray to dry before overhead irrigation.
Do not apply to African violets, begonias, Boston fern, or geraniums. Test unlisted ornamental species on a small scale before widespread use. Do not apply to listed fruit or nut trees that will bear harvestable fruit within 12 months.
For resistance management, rotate or tank mix with effective fungicides having different modes of action. Do not alternate or tank mix Banner Maxx II with a fungicide to which resistance has already developed. Always follow the most restrictive directions when using a tank mixture.
