BotaniGard MAXX delivers a true 2-in-1 punch against insect pests, combining fast-acting pyrethrins with live spores of Beauveria bassiana strain GHA for dual-mode control. This innovative botanical insecticide/mycoinsecticide provides immediate knockdown while delivering residual infection that continues working inside the insect.
Pyrethrins disrupt the insect’s nervous system, causing rapid paralysis and increased movement, which enhances exposure to Beauveria bassiana spores. Once spores penetrate the insect cuticle, they germinate and kill the pest from within—providing sustained control even after initial contact.
Designed for use in integrated pest management (IPM) programs, BotaniGard MAXX rotates seamlessly with other biorational products and can be applied up to the day of harvest on most labeled crops. When applied early—before pest populations are established—results are typically visible within 2–5 days.
