Caravan G Insecticide/Fungicide
Caravan G Insecticide/Fungicide is a professional ready-to-use granular turf treatment that combines systemic insect and disease control in a single application. Powered by 0.22% thiamethoxam and 0.31% azoxystrobin, Caravan G brings together the proven active ingredients used in Meridian® insecticide and Heritage® fungicide to control a broad spectrum of damaging turf insects and diseases.
Caravan G provides systemic uptake through turf foliage and roots for convenient preventive and curative pest-management programs. A properly timed application can provide season-long white grub control while protecting turf against diseases including brown patch, anthracnose, Pythium blight, red thread, leaf spot, summer patch, take-all patch, large patch, and many more.

Labeled Use Sites
Caravan G is labeled for turfgrass on residential lawns, commercial grounds including office and shopping complexes and airports, parks, playgrounds, golf courses, and athletic fields. Golf-course applications may include greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other managed turf areas according to label directions. Caravan G is for turfgrass use only and must not be applied to non-turf areas or production ornamentals.
Target Pests & Diseases
Caravan G controls labeled white grubs including Asiatic garden beetle, black turfgrass ataenius, European chafer, green June beetle, Japanese beetle, May and June beetles, northern masked chafer, oriental beetle, and southern masked chafer. Additional insect targets include billbugs, crane flies, chinch bugs, flea beetles, leafhoppers, greenbugs, sod webworms, spittlebugs, and labeled ants. Mole crickets are labeled for suppression.
Labeled turf diseases include anthracnose, brown patch, yellow patch or cool-weather brown patch, fairy ring, Microdochium patch, gray leaf spot, leaf and stem rusts, leaf spot, melting out, necrotic ring spot, pink patch, powdery mildew, Pythium blight, Pythium root rot, red thread, southern blight, summer patch, take-all patch, large patch, zoysia patch, Rhizoctonia leaf and sheath blight, and brown ring patch.
Application Notes
Apply Caravan G uniformly with a properly calibrated broadcast or drop spreader at 2.0 to 2.8 lb per 1,000 sq ft. For preventive white grub control, applications may be made up to 45 days before the historical peak adult flight of the target species; irrigate within 7 days to move the active ingredient into the root zone. For control of grubs from egg hatch through second instar, irrigate within 1 day of application.
Disease-control intervals are generally 14 to 21 days depending on disease and pressure. Some Syngenta programs use Caravan G as the initial application followed by Heritage G or Headway G for extended disease management. Do not apply more than 120 lb of Caravan G per acre per year. Maintain adequate soil moisture for optimum performance and do not mow treated turf until irrigation or rainfall has occurred when targeting soil insects.
