Dismiss Turf Herbicide
Dismiss Turf Herbicide is a professional selective herbicide containing 39.6% sulfentrazone for preemergence and postemergence control or suppression of sedges, broadleaf weeds, and annual grasses in established turf. It is labeled for residential and institutional lawns, athletic fields, commercial sod farms, golf course fairways and roughs, as well as directed applications in container- and field-grown ornamentals.
Dismiss Turf combines fast foliar activity with soil-active weed control through uptake by both weed roots and shoots. Its HRAC Group 14 PPO-inhibiting chemistry is especially valuable for yellow nutsedge, purple nutsedge, green kyllinga, goosegrass, and difficult broadleaf weeds, while also providing preemergence control of numerous summer and winter annual weeds.

Labeled tolerant turfgrasses include creeping bentgrass, Kentucky bluegrass, rough bluegrass, fine fescue, tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, bahiagrass, bermudagrass and hybrids, buffalograss, carpetgrass, centipedegrass, kikuyugrass, seashore paspalum, St. Augustinegrass, and zoysiagrass at their respective labeled rates. Do not apply to golf course putting greens or tees. Dismiss Turf is also labeled for directed applications to soil around selected established container- and field-grown ornamental plants.
Target Weeds
Dismiss Turf controls or suppresses labeled yellow nutsedge, purple nutsedge, green kyllinga, false green kyllinga, globe sedge, cylindric sedge, Surinam sedge, Texas sedge, goosegrass, crabgrass, annual bluegrass, annual ryegrass, dandelion, dollarweed, clover, chickweed, ground ivy, henbit, spurge, plantain, wild garlic, wild onion, woodsorrel, pigweed, knotweed, purslane, and numerous other annual, biennial, and perennial weeds listed on the product label.
Application Notes
Turf application rates range from 4 to 12 fl oz per acre, equivalent to approximately 0.092 to 0.275 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft, depending on turfgrass species and weed target. Apply the highest labeled rate permitted for the turfgrass being treated for difficult sedges. For optimum purple nutsedge control, split applications are recommended; labeled programs vary by cool- or warm-season turf and generally use a second treatment approximately 35 days after the initial application.
Do not exceed 12 fl oz per acre in a single application or 0.375 lb sulfentrazone per acre per calendar year. Use of surfactants is not recommended because temporary turf discoloration may result. Do not apply to stressed turf, putting greens, or tees. Sod should be well established before treatment and must not be treated within 3 months of harvest. Always read and follow the complete product label.
