Flute WDG Fungicide

Flute WDG Fungicide is a professional broad-spectrum ornamental fungicide containing 37.5% cyprodinil and 25.0% fludioxonil for control of Botrytis, Alternaria, Cercospora, Rhizoctonia, Myrothecium, powdery mildew, and other labeled foliar and stem diseases. Flute is a generic equivalent to Palladium Fungicide, providing the same active ingredient concentrations and FRAC Group 9 + 12 chemistry in a water-dispersible granule formulation.

Flute combines systemic and contact fungicidal activity to protect ornamental flowers and plants, bulb, corm and tuber crops, conifers, Christmas trees, and other labeled ornamentals. Its two complementary modes of action make Flute a valuable preventive treatment and rotational tool for professional greenhouse, nursery, forestry, interiorscape, and commercial landscape disease-management programs.

Features & Benefits

Dual-active fungicide combines cyprodinil and fludioxonil for broad-spectrum ornamental disease control

Provides both systemic and contact activity against labeled foliar and stem pathogens

Controls Botrytis, Alternaria, Cercospora, Rhizoctonia, Myrothecium, powdery mildew, and other important diseases

FRAC Groups 9 and 12 provide two distinct single-site modes of action for resistance-management programs

Effective at labeled rates of 2 to 6 oz per 100 gal depending on the target disease

Water-dispersible granule formulation is convenient for measuring, mixing, and professional application

Generic equivalent to Palladium Fungicide with the same cyprodinil and fludioxonil active ingredient concentrations

Labeled Use Sites

Flute WDG Fungicide is labeled for ornamental flowers and plants, ornamental bulb, corm and tuber crops, conifers, and Christmas trees. Labeled production and landscape sites include greenhouses, nurseries, shade houses, lath houses, other outdoor growing structures, evergreen and deciduous tree nurseries, Christmas tree farms, forestry production and plantations, interiorscapes, and commercial ornamental landscapes. It is also labeled for ornamentals on golf courses and landscaped areas around institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields. Flute is not labeled for residential ornamental flowers and plants.

Target Diseases

Flute controls labeled Alternaria leaf blight, anthracnose leaf spot, Botrytis blight and gray mold, Cercospora leaf spot, Cylindrocladium stem rot, Fusarium blight and stem rot, Myrothecium leaf spot and blight, Phoma basal rot, Phomopsis dieback, Rhizoctonia aerial blight, Sclerotinia blight and stem rot, Septoria leaf spot, Southern blight caused by Sclerotium rolfsii, powdery mildew, scorch, and other pathogens listed on the product label.

Application Notes

Apply Flute as a foliar and stem treatment at 2 to 6 oz per 100 gal of water depending on the target disease. Begin applications prior to or at disease onset and repeat at 7- to 14-day intervals while conditions remain favorable for disease development. Powdery mildew and scorch applications should begin preventively. Thorough spray coverage is required, and stem disease treatments should cover stems and inner plant areas down to the soil or media level.

After two applications of Flute, alternate with a fungicide having a different mode of action for two applications. Do not exceed 6 oz per acre in a single application, four applications at the highest labeled rate, or 24 oz per acre per year for outdoor uses. Greenhouse, lath-house, and shade-house applications are limited to 24 oz per acre per crop. Maintain the required 75-ft buffer from specified aquatic areas. The agricultural restricted-entry interval is 12 hours. Always read and follow the complete product label.
