Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide

Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide is a professional, flexible liquid insecticide powered by thiamethoxam for control of listed structural, perimeter, void, and ornamental pests. This suspension concentrate formulation can be used indoors and outdoors as a crack-and-crevice treatment, spot treatment, surface spray, structural void application, foam treatment, perimeter application, or localized wood-destroying insect treatment.

As a Group 4A neonicotinoid insecticide, Optigard Flex Liquid provides a non-repellent treatment option for common pests such as cockroaches, ants, beetles, boxelder bugs, crickets, earwigs, firebrats, lady beetles, millipedes, pillbugs, silverfish, sowbugs, yellow jackets, wasps, and selected wood-destroying insects. Its flexible use patterns make it a strong choice for pest professionals who need one product for multiple structural pest-control applications.

Features & Benefits

Flexible liquid insecticide for indoor, outdoor, perimeter, crack-and-crevice, spot, void, foam, and surface applications

Contains thiamethoxam, a Group 4A neonicotinoid active ingredient for professional structural pest-control programs

Controls listed pests including cockroaches, ants, beetles, boxelder bugs, crickets, earwigs, firebrats, lady beetles, millipedes, pillbugs, silverfish, sowbugs, yellow jackets, and wasps

Can be used as a finished liquid or converted to foam for voids, galleries, nests, and other difficult-to-reach treatment sites

Labeled for localized remedial control of drywood termites, carpenter bees, wood-destroying beetles, borers, and active subterranean termite workers or reproductives

Perimeter treatment flexibility includes a band up to 3 feet up the structure and 7 feet out from the foundation where allowed

May be used on landscape ornamentals to reduce aphids, whiteflies, and mealybugs that produce honeydew, a food source for some ants

Labeled Use Sites

Optigard Flex Liquid is labeled for use in and around structures, structural voids, cracks, crevices, corners, under and behind appliances, under sinks, around window and door frames, pipes, water heaters, attics, crawl spaces, garages, unfinished basements, non-living space areas, perimeter exterior areas of structures, food/feed-handling establishments, landscape ornamental plants, and localized wood-destroying insect treatment sites.

Target Pests

Optigard Flex Liquid controls listed pests including ants, except carpenter ants and Pharaoh ants; beetles; boxelder bugs; cockroaches; crickets; earwigs; firebrats; lady beetles; millipedes; pillbugs; silverfish; sowbugs; yellow jackets; wasps; fire ants by individual mound treatment; aphids; whiteflies; mealybugs; drywood termites; carpenter bees; wood-destroying beetles and borers; and active subterranean termite workers and winged reproductives present at the time of treatment.

Application Notes

Optigard Flex Liquid must be diluted with water before application. For general structural pest control, the label lists finished dilutions of 0.05% to 0.1%, with the 0.1% rate used for heavy pest infestations. Applications may be made as a crack-and-crevice spray, coarse low-pressure spot spray, surface spray, structural void application, mist, or foam depending on the target pest and treatment site.

In living areas, do not apply as a broadcast spray. Use only as a void application, spot treatment, or crack-and-crevice application in areas where occupants will not be exposed to direct contact. Keep people and pets away from treated areas until dry. Do not apply while bees are foraging, and do not apply to flowering plants; only apply after flower petals have fallen off.
