Advion WDG Insecticide is a professional sprayable insecticide containing 20% indoxacarb for control of a broad spectrum of structural and urban pests. Its water-dispersible granule formulation mixes with water for indoor and outdoor spot, crack-and-crevice, foam, general-surface, and perimeter treatments in residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, food-handling, transportation, and companion-animal housing environments.

Advion WDG features Syngenta's MetaActive™ effect, in which indoxacarb is bioactivated inside target insects to a more insecticidally active form. The formulation is non-repellent, non-pyrethroid, and non-neonicotinoid, making it a versatile option for resistance-management and integrated pest-management programs while providing manufacturer-supported residual performance of up to 60 days in appropriate applications.

Labeled Use Sites

Advion WDG is labeled for use in and around single- and multi-family residential buildings, schools, institutional facilities, warehouses, apartments, supermarkets, restaurants, motels, hotels, hospitals, daycare facilities, food-handling and food-storage establishments, food-processing facilities, zoos, transportation equipment including trains, ships, boats, and buses, and companion-animal housing. Indoor applications are generally limited to spot and crack-and-crevice treatments, while outdoor applications may include spot, crack-and-crevice, general-surface, and perimeter band treatments according to label directions.

Target Pests

Advion WDG controls labeled ants, carpenter bees, cockroaches, flea adults and larvae, house flies, fruit flies, stable flies, filth and flesh flies, cluster flies, phorid flies, non-biting midges, beetles, boxelder bugs, carpet moths, centipedes, crickets, earwigs, grasshoppers, kudzu bugs, millipedes, pillbugs, silverfish, sowbugs, springtails, stink bugs including brown marmorated stink bug, pantry and stored-product beetles, weevils and moths, subterranean termites, dampwood termites, drywood termites, and wasps.

Application Notes

For most structural pest applications, prepare Advion WDG at a 0.05% to 0.10% indoxacarb dilution. Mix 0.33 oz per gallon of water for a 0.05% dilution or 0.66 oz per gallon for a 0.10% dilution. Indoor applications are limited to a maximum volume of 1 gallon per 1,000 sq ft. Outdoor backpack and hand-sprayer applications generally use 1 to 4 gallons per 1,000 sq ft depending on pest pressure, surface porosity, and desired residual performance.

Outdoor perimeter treatments must not exceed a total band width of 7 feet. For example, treatment may extend up to 2 feet vertically on the exterior wall and up to 5 feet horizontally away from the wall base. Under normal pest pressure, a 30-day maintenance interval is usually sufficient; under heavy infestations, two treatments at 7-day intervals may be used before returning to maintenance intervals. State-specific restrictions, particularly in California, may impose additional limits.
