Pendi MicroCap Preemergence Herbicide
Pendi MicroCap is a professional preemergence herbicide containing 38.7% pendimethalin for control of annual grassy and broadleaf weeds before they emerge in turfgrass, landscapes, ornamental production, grounds maintenance, and non-cropland sites. Its Group 3 dinitroaniline chemistry inhibits cell division in germinating seedlings, stopping susceptible weeds before they become established.
Comparable to Pendulum® AquaCap, Pendi MicroCap uses a water-based aqueous capsule suspension formulation designed to provide dependable residual weed control with low odor and reduced staining potential compared with traditional EC formulations. It controls 21 labeled grassy weeds and 25 broadleaf weeds, including crabgrass, goosegrass, annual bluegrass, foxtails, chickweed, henbit, spurge, knotweed, purslane, and many other troublesome species.

Labeled Use Sites
Pendi MicroCap is labeled for preemergence weed control in residential, commercial, golf course, sod farm, institutional, public, and other turfgrass sites; lawns; parks; schools; athletic fields; airports; roadsides; cemeteries; picnic grounds; houses of worship; prairie grass areas; landscape and grounds maintenance areas; mulch beds; parking lots; driveways; alleyways; bike and jogging paths; vacant lots; fence lines; gravel yards; and areas beneath asphalt or concrete as part of site preparation.
Additional labeled uses include railroad, utility, highway, and pipeline rights-of-way; utility substations; petroleum tank farms; pumping installations; storage areas; windbreaks; shelterbelts; Christmas trees; tree plantations; conifer and hardwood nurseries; ornamental bulb and wildflower plantings; nonbearing fruit and nut crops; vineyards; field, liner, and container ornamental production; and other labeled non-crop sites. Do not apply in greenhouses, shadehouses, or other enclosed structures.
Target Weeds
Grassy Weeds: barnyardgrass, annual bluegrass (Poa annua), crabgrass, crowfootgrass, giant foxtail, green foxtail, yellow foxtail, goosegrass, itchgrass, Johnsongrass from seed, junglerice, lovegrass from seed, browntop panicum, fall panicum, Texas panicum, field sandbur, signalgrass, Mexican sprangletop, red sprangletop, witchgrass, and woolly cupgrass.
Broadleaf Weeds: lawn burweed, carpetweed, common chickweed, mouseear chickweed, hop clover, cudweed, evening primrose, fiddleneck, filaree, henbit, prostrate knotweed, kochia, lambsquarters, pigweed, puncturevine, purslane, Florida pusley, London rocket, shepherdspurse, Pennsylvania smartweed, corn speedwell, annual spurge, prostrate spurge, yellow woodsorrel, and velvetleaf or buttonweed.
Pendi MicroCap is a preemergence herbicide and does not control established weeds. Existing weeds should be removed or controlled with an appropriately labeled postemergence herbicide before or in conjunction with the preemergence program.
Application Notes
Apply before target weeds germinate. For professional turf, landscape, and ornamental applications, use properly calibrated equipment and sufficient carrier volume for uniform coverage. Turf rates vary by turf species, target weed, and use site, with typical labeled rates ranging from 1.1 to 1.6 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft for many residential and turf programs and up to 2.3 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft for certain non-residential and golf-course goosegrass programs.
For non-turf sites, 2.1 quarts per acre provides approximately 2 to 4 months of control, while 4.2 quarts per acre provides approximately 6 to 8 months of control. For best performance, activate the herbicide with approximately 1/2 inch of rainfall or equivalent sprinkler irrigation. Erratic control may occur if activation does not occur within 30 days. Do not apply through irrigation systems, and do not use in greenhouses, shadehouses, or other enclosed structures.
