Propose Herbicide delivers flexible, long-lasting weed management for rangeland, pastures, federal conservation reserve lands, and other non-cropland areas. Powered by the ammonium salt of imazapic, Propose controls a wide spectrum of annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds, and vine species by inhibiting acetohydroxy acid synthase (AHAS), an enzyme essential for plant growth.
Propose works through both pre-emergence and post-emergence applications, with post-emergence being the preferred method for most situations. Absorbed through the leaves and translocated throughout the plant—including into the roots—it ensures thorough control of perennial and summer annual weeds. Propose also provides residual activity, helping to prevent new annual grasses from germinating and allowing desirable forage to thrive.
Safe for use on non-cropland sites such as rangeland, conservation lands, roadsides, railroads, and utility areas, Propose is one of the most versatile herbicides available. Because its mode of action targets an enzyme found only in plants, Propose poses no risk to humans, animals, birds, fish, or insects.
