Pylon TR Total Release Miticide/Insecticide
Pylon TR Total Release Miticide/Insecticide is a professional greenhouse aerosol containing 4.5% chlorfenapyr for control of mites and caterpillars and suppression of thrips on labeled ornamental crops and fruiting vegetables in commercial greenhouses. Each total-release can treats up to 3,000 sq ft, or approximately 50,000 cu ft, without the need for conventional spray mixing or application equipment.
Chlorfenapyr is an IRAC Group 13 pyrrole insecticide/miticide that targets cellular respiration and is introduced to pests through contact and feeding activity. The fine aerosol particles move throughout the greenhouse canopy with normal air movement, providing coverage to both upper and lower foliage while offering a convenient fit for professional greenhouse IPM and resistance-management programs.

Labeled Use Sites
Pylon TR is labeled for ornamental crops and fruiting vegetables grown in commercial greenhouses, including bedding plants, containerized plants, cut flowers, evergreens, flowering plants, foliage plants, groundcovers, non-bearing fruit and nut trees and vines, ornamental trees and shrubs, and labeled vegetables.
Target Pests
Pylon TR controls labeled mites including two-spotted spider mites, broad mites, citrus budmites, and rust mites; it does not control the egg stage of mites. It also controls labeled caterpillars including beet armyworm, cabbage looper, and soybean looper. Thrips, including immature chili thrips and western flower thrips, are labeled for suppression rather than control.
Application Notes
Place the can above the top of the plant canopy in a 3 ft plant-free zone and ensure the spray path is unobstructed. Shut off exhaust fans, close windows, doors, and ventilators, and turn off ignition sources before activation. Apply when foliage is dry and greenhouse temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. At the labeled low rate, use 1 can per 3,000 sq ft; higher-rate treatments may require 2 cans per 3,000 sq ft depending on the target pest. Repeat applications may be made at 7-day intervals where specified.
Do not make more than 3 applications during a crop-growing cycle or more than 2 consecutive applications before rotating to a product with a different mode of action. For fruiting vegetables, allow at least 7 days between applications. Do not use in small enclosed spaces such as closets or cabinets. Follow the label's ventilation and restricted-entry requirements before reentry.
