Labeled Use Sites

Quinclorac 1.5L is labeled for postemergence weed control in residential and nonresidential turf including lawns around residential and commercial establishments, multifamily housing, military and institutional grounds, parks, airports, roadsides, schools, picnic areas, athletic fields, houses of worship, cemeteries, golf courses, and sod farms. Do not apply to golf-course greens or collars.

Target Weeds

Labeled grassy weeds include barnyardgrass, large crabgrass, smooth crabgrass, giant foxtail, green foxtail, yellow foxtail, kikuyugrass, broadleaf signalgrass, and torpedograss. Broadleaf weeds include field bindweed, hop clover, red clover, white clover, English daisy, common dandelion, dollarweed, Carolina geranium, black medic, morningglory species, common speedwell, slender speedwell, thymeleaf speedwell, and wild violet.

Application Notes

For broadcast applications, apply 64 fl oz per acre, equivalent to 1.45 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. Spot treatments also use 1.45 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft of treated area. Methylated seed oil is the preferred adjuvant and should be used for consistent postemergence weed control. Under certain conditions, crabgrass in the 2- to 4-tiller stage may require a sequential application.

Apply to actively growing weeds and avoid applications when turf or weeds are stressed by drought, excessive moisture, low fertility, extreme temperatures, mowing shock, or prior herbicide injury. Do not mow for 2 days before or after application. Although the manufacturer supports rainfastness in under one hour, the EPA label also directs users not to intentionally water or irrigate for 24 hours after treatment for best results.
