Sanmite SC Miticide/Insecticide
Sanmite SC Miticide/Insecticide is a selective contact miticide and insecticide powered by pyridaben for control of mites and whiteflies on ornamental plants, foliage plants, greenhouse tomatoes, and greenhouse cucumbers. Formulated as a suspension concentrate, Sanmite SC provides knockdown and residual control with thorough spray coverage of plant leaf surfaces.
Sanmite SC is designed for use when mite populations are building and before they reach damaging thresholds. With Group 21A acaricide activity, Sanmite SC is a strong rotation option for greenhouse, ornamental, and foliage plant programs where spider mites, rust mites, broad mites, false spider mites, whiteflies, aphids, psylla, leafhoppers, and related labeled pests are present.
Features & Benefits
✓ Contains 42.47% pyridaben for professional mite and insect control in labeled greenhouse and ornamental uses
✓ Group 21A acaricide mode of action provides a useful rotation tool for mite resistance-management programs
✓ Provides knockdown and residual control, with performance evaluation possible 4 to 7 days after treatment
✓ Controls key mite pests including twospotted spider mite, European red mite, citrus red mite, southern red mite, broad mite, rust mites, false spider mites, and other labeled mites
✓ Also labeled for whiteflies, aphids, pear psylla, leafhoppers, and citrus root weevil on listed crops and sites
✓ Suspension concentrate formulation improves handling and mixing compared with older dry or less convenient formulations
✓ Labeled for ornamental plants and foliage plants grown in greenhouses and outdoors, plus greenhouse tomatoes and greenhouse cucumbers
Labeled Use Sites
Sanmite SC is labeled for use on ornamental plants, foliage plants grown in greenhouses and outdoors, greenhouse tomatoes, and greenhouse cucumbers. It may be applied by ground equipment using diluted or concentrated sprays, with sufficient spray volume to obtain complete and uniform coverage of plant leaf surfaces.
Target Pests
Sanmite SC is labeled for mite and insect pests including broad mite, false spider mite, citrus flat mite, apple rust mite, citrus bud mite, citrus rust mite, peach silver mite, pear rust mite, pink citrus rust mite, citrus red mite, European red mite, McDaniel spider mite, Pacific spider mite, pecan leaf scorch mite, sixspotted mite, southern red mite, Texas citrus mite, twospotted spider mite, Willamette spider mite, citrus root weevil, apple aphid, black pecan aphid, black margined aphid, brown citrus aphid, yellow pecan aphid, sweet potato whitefly, silverleaf whitefly, pear psylla, eastern grape leafhopper, grape leafhopper, variegated leafhopper, Virginia creeper leafhopper, and white apple leafhopper.
Application Notes
Apply Sanmite SC when mites first appear and before a threshold of five spider mites per leaf is reached. Use sufficient water volume to obtain complete and uniform coverage of all plant leaf surfaces. Thorough coverage is required for optimum control, and spraying alternate rows may reduce performance.
For ornamental and foliage plants grown in greenhouses and outdoors, the label lists 6.4 to 9.6 ounces per acre, or 0.15 to 0.22 ounce per 1,000 square feet. Use higher rates for whiteflies. Do not use Sanmite SC in successive miticide applications; rotate with products that have different modes of action for resistance management.
