Segovis Fungicide is a professional ornamental fungicide containing 18.7% oxathiapiprolin for highly targeted control of downy mildew and Phytophthora diseases. Its unique Group U15 mode of action inhibits oxysterol-binding protein activity, providing an important resistance-management option for greenhouse, nursery, outdoor ornamental, and commercial landscape disease programs.

Segovis offers flexible foliar, drench, soil, and chemigation application options at very low use rates. Foliar applications protect against downy mildew and Phytophthora diseases, while container drench and soil applications target Phytophthora root and stem diseases in ornamentals. Segovis should be applied preventively or at the first signs of disease and rotated with effective fungicides from different mode-of-action groups.

Labeled Use Sites

Segovis is labeled for ornamental plants grown in greenhouses, shade houses, lath houses, other outdoor growing structures, nurseries, forest nurseries, and commercial landscapes including business and office complexes, shopping complexes, institutional properties, airports, and cemeteries. Labeled ornamental uses include breeding crops, bulb crops, cut flowers, evergreens, foliage plants, flowering plants, groundcovers, non-bearing fruit and nut trees and vines, ornamental grasses, trees and shrubs, palms, perennial shrubs, pot and bedding plants, and succulents. Selected vegetable transplants for retail sale to residential consumers are also included on the label.

Target Diseases

Segovis controls labeled downy mildew diseases and diseases caused by Phytophthora species. Foliar ornamental programs target downy mildew and Phytophthora diseases, while container drenches and soil applications are directed specifically at Phytophthora root, stem, and crown disease management. The label also includes fresh basil transplants for control of downy mildew caused by Peronospora belbahrii.

Application Notes

For foliar ornamental applications, use 0.6 to 3.2 fl oz per 100 gallons and apply preventively or at the first sign of disease symptoms on a 7- to 14-day interval. The maximum foliar application rate is 2.4 fl oz per acre, with a 7-day minimum application interval. Do not make more than two sequential applications before rotating to a fungicide with a different mode of action.

For container drench applications, use 0.65 to 3.2 fl oz per 100 gallons on a 14- to 28-day interval. Apply enough solution to thoroughly wet the root zone without leaching through the container. Soil applications to in-ground nursery ornamentals use rates based on plant spacing and should thoroughly saturate the target root and crown zone. Do not combine soil and foliar oxathiapiprolin application methods on the same crop during a growing season.
