Shar-Shield PPZ Fungicide

Shar-Shield PPZ Fungicide is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide powered by propiconazole for control of labeled diseases in agricultural crops, turfgrass, ornamentals, nurseries, and landscape plantings. As a FRAC Group 3 fungicide, Shar-Shield PPZ belongs to the DMI class and is useful in preventive disease programs and integrated disease management rotations.

Shar-Shield PPZ controls or suppresses many important diseases including powdery mildew, rust, leaf spots, blights, scab, brown rot, dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose, gray leaf spot, snow mold, and other labeled diseases. Shar-Shield PPZ is the generic equivalent of Tilt Fungicide.

Shar-Shield PPZ is labeled for disease control in almonds, bananas and plantains, berries, carrots, celery and leaf petiole vegetables, cereals, non-bearing citrus, corn, cranberries, filberts, grasses grown for seed, mint, onions, garlic, shallots, peanuts, pecans, pineapple seed pieces, pistachios, rice, wild rice, sorghum, soybeans, stone fruit, strawberries and other low-growing berries, sugar beets, sugarcane seed pieces, tree nuts, turfgrass, dichondra, ornamentals, nurseries, and landscape plantings.

Application Notes

Apply Shar-Shield PPZ according to the crop-specific or site-specific directions on the product label. For best results, use enough water volume to provide thorough and uniform coverage. The label notes that Shar-Shield PPZ is most effective when applied and allowed to dry before rainfall.

Use Shar-Shield PPZ as part of an integrated disease management program. Rotate with fungicides from different FRAC groups to help manage resistance. Follow all crop-specific rates, application intervals, pre-harvest intervals, annual maximum use rates, grazing restrictions, chemigation directions, and turf or ornamental precautions listed on the label.
