Tourney Fungicide is a professional broad-spectrum systemic fungicide containing 50% metconazole for control of difficult turfgrass diseases including dollar spot, anthracnose, brown patch, fairy ring, gray leaf spot, summer patch, take-all patch, necrotic ring spot, snow mold, and other labeled patch diseases. It is labeled for golf courses, residential and commercial lawns, parks, recreational areas, athletic fields, sod farms, and other managed turf sites.

As a FRAC Group 3 triazole fungicide, Tourney inhibits demethylation and other processes involved in fungal sterol biosynthesis. Metconazole is rapidly absorbed into plant tissue and provides both preventive and curative activity, making Tourney a valuable systemic DMI fungicide for scheduled professional turf disease-management and resistance-rotation programs.

Labeled Use Sites

Tourney Fungicide is labeled for turfgrass disease control on golf courses, lawns, and landscape areas around residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, athletic fields, and sod farms. Recommended turfgrass species listed on the label include annual bluegrass, bentgrass, centipedegrass, fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, St. Augustinegrass, seashore paspalum, and zoysiagrass. Do not apply directly to bermudagrass greens.

Target Diseases

Tourney controls labeled dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose, gray leaf spot, necrotic ring spot, red thread, Rhizoctonia large patch, rust diseases, summer patch, take-all patch, Waitea patch or brown ring patch, zoysia patch, fairy ring, pink snow mold or Fusarium patch, gray snow mold, and yellow patch.

Application Notes

Apply Tourney at 0.18 to 0.44 oz per 1,000 sq ft, equivalent to 8 to 19.2 oz per acre, depending on target disease. Dollar spot uses 8 to 16 oz per acre, brown patch 12 to 16 oz per acre, and anthracnose, gray leaf spot, necrotic ring spot, red thread, large patch, rusts, summer patch, take-all patch, brown ring patch, and zoysia patch are treated at 16 oz per acre. Fairy ring is treated at 16 oz per acre on a 21-day interval, while snow mold applications use 16 to 19.2 oz per acre in late fall.

Tourney performs best preventively or early in disease development. Apply to dry turf or after mowing. Allow turf to dry before irrigation for foliar disease applications; soilborne disease treatments may be watered in after application. Do not exceed 4 lb of Tourney per acre per year. Under high heat above 90°F or drought stress on golf course greens, do not exceed 16 oz per acre every 30 days. Label directions were developed without an adjuvant in the spray solution.
