Turf Mark Blue Spray Indicator Dye
BASF Turf Mark Blue is a professional concentrated spray-pattern indicator that adds highly visible blue color to pesticide, fertilizer, and turf spray solutions so applicators can clearly see where treatments have been applied. The temporary marking color helps identify skips, overlaps, and unintended drift, improving application accuracy across turfgrass, golf, landscape, and professional spray programs.
Turf Mark is also specifically designed as a marking aid for licensed pest-control professionals performing structural pesticide and termiticide pretreatments. It can visibly mark treated wood, pre-slab soil, and other application areas during construction. The blue color gradually dissipates with exposure to sunlight and moisture, while application strength can be adjusted to provide lighter or darker spray patterns as needed.

Labeled Use Sites
Turf Mark Blue is intended for professional turf and spray applications including golf course greens, tees, fairways, roughs, lawns, parks, sod, and other managed turf areas where visible spray coverage is beneficial. BASF also supports its use as an indicator with fertilizer and pesticide spray applications.
For structural pest-control applications, Turf Mark is intended as a marking aid for licensed pest-control technicians to identify where structural pesticides and termiticides have been applied during pretreatment. Because the blue dye can stain construction materials and other surfaces, avoid contact with nontarget structural surfaces and other areas where coloration is undesirable.
Primary Applications
Turf Spray Indicator: visibly marks spray swaths so applicators can identify treated areas, skips, and overlaps during turfgrass applications.
Golf Course Applications: adjustable rates are provided for greens, tees, fairways, and roughs depending on turf condition and the desired marking intensity.
Backpack & Small Sprayers: concentrated rates make Turf Mark useful for spot spraying and smaller professional application equipment.
Termiticide Pretreatment: provides visible confirmation of treated wood and pre-slab or soil treatment areas during licensed structural pest-control applications.
Application Notes
For backpack and small sprayers, BASF suggests approximately 1 fl oz per 1 gallon of spray solution, 2 to 3 fl oz per 3 gallons, 6 to 10 fl oz per 30 gallons, or 18 to 24 fl oz per 100 gallons. Rates may be adjusted to produce the desired visibility; increasing the amount of Turf Mark produces a darker spray pattern.
Golf and turf rates vary by surface and desired marking intensity. Greens and tees generally use approximately 6 to 14 fl oz per 100 gallons, fairways, lawns, and parks approximately 6 to 24 fl oz per 100 gallons, and roughs approximately 12 to 30 fl oz per 100 gallons. For termiticide pretreatments, use 2 to 4 fl oz per 100 gallons for wood pretreatment or 12 to 24 fl oz per 100 gallons for pre-slab or soil applications. Flat-fan spray tips are recommended for turf applications.
