Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide

Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide is a selective miticide powered by bifenazate for rapid control of listed mite pests on ornamental plants, non-bearing fruit trees, greenhouse tomatoes, and labeled production and landscape sites. Floramite works through contact activity and provides long residual control, making it a strong fit for mite-control programs where fast knockdown and beneficial insect compatibility matter.

Floramite is especially effective on spider mites in the Tetranychidae family and controls all life stages of Tetranychid spider mites when applied according to label directions. Its Group 20D mode of action, strong residual activity, and reduced disruption to many beneficial insects and predatory mites make Floramite a valuable tool for IPM and resistance-management programs.

Features & Benefits

Fast-acting contact miticide for rapid knockdown of listed ornamental mite pests

Contains bifenazate, an IRAC Group 20D acaricide with a unique mode of action for resistance management

Controls all life stages of Tetranychidae spider mites, including eggs, immature stages, and adults

Provides residual control for up to 28 days when applied according to label directions

Controls important mite species including two-spotted spider mite, European red mite, citrus red mite, southern red mite, spruce spider mite, Pacific mite, Lewis mite, clover mite, bamboo spider mite, and strawberry mite

Minimally disruptive to many beneficial insects and predatory mites, making it well suited for IPM programs

Labeled for greenhouses, shadehouses, nurseries, Christmas tree and conifer plantations, landscapes, interiorscapes, residences, golf courses, parks, athletic fields, and rights-of-way

Tank-mix compatible with many commonly used insecticides and fungicides when compatibility and plant safety are confirmed

Labeled Use Sites

Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide is labeled for all ornamental plants including bedding plants, flowering plants, foliage plants, ornamental bulb crops, perennials, trees, and shrubs. It is also labeled for non-bearing fruit trees that will not bear fruit for at least 12 months and greenhouse tomatoes only. Labeled use sites include greenhouses, shadehouses, nurseries including Christmas tree and conifer plantations, landscapes, interiorscapes, residences, public, commercial, industrial and institutional areas, recreational sites including campgrounds, golf courses, parks and athletic fields, rights-of-way, and other easements.

Target Pests

Floramite controls a variety of mite pests, especially spider mites in the Tetranychidae family. Mites listed on the sell sheet include bamboo spider mite, citrus red mite, clover mite, European red mite, Lewis mite, Pacific mite, southern red mite, spruce spider mite, strawberry mite, and two-spotted spider mite.

Application Notes

Apply Floramite as soon as mites appear. Complete coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces is necessary because Floramite is not systemic. Mix 4 to 8 fl oz of Floramite in 100 gallons of water and apply as a full-coverage foliar spray. Use 4 fl oz per 100 gallons for preventive applications or light mite infestations, and up to 8 fl oz per 100 gallons for heavy infestations or extended residual control.

For best results, maintain spray mixtures containing Floramite within a pH range of 5.5 to 6.5 because stability can be affected by high pH and high temperature. For ornamentals with hard-to-wet foliage, a compatible adjuvant or spreader-sticker may be added after testing for plant safety and compatibility. Do not use adjuvants in solutions applied to greenhouse tomatoes.
